The new all-day neighbourhood restaurant will open at The July - Capel Street in October 2026, bringing together Irish produce, European-inspired cooking and genuine Dublin hospitality.

Partnering with Bereen Brothers Hospitality, Onóra, a new all-day neighbourhood restaurant is coming soon to The July - Capel Street. The partnership brings together The July’s Amsterdam-born approach to contemporary hospitality with more than two decades of Dublin restaurant experience from brothers Conor and Marc Bereen, whose portfolio includes Coppinger, Charlotte Quay, Orwell Road and Row Wines.

Together, the teams are creating a restaurant that feels less like a hotel restaurant and more like a genuine part of Dublin’s everyday dining scene.

Onóra: All-day neighbourhood restaurant in Dublin

Located on lively Capel Street, Onóra is designed to evolve throughout the day. Breakfast and lunch will give way to dinner, drinks and a livelier late-evening atmosphere, creating a space where hotel guests, local residents and visitors can come together.

Breen Brothers, working closely with The July team, are shaping Onóra’s food and drink direction, service style and approach to Irish hospitality. The shared ambition is simple: to create a restaurant rooted firmly in Dublin, with exceptional produce, thoughtful cooking and warm, genuine service at its heart.

Irish produce through a European lens

Leading the kitchen at Onóra will be Northern Ireland-born Head Chef Lauren Shimmin, working alongside The July and Bereen Brothers to bring the restaurant’s food philosophy to life.

The lunch and dinner menus will celebrate Irish produce through a European lens, drawing from the sea, the land and the changing seasons. At lunchtime, expect dishes including salt cod croquettes, mussels with fries and roast porchetta with salsa verde. As evening arrives, the menu moves towards Carlingford oysters with shallot vinaigrette, silky tagliolini with sweet crab, chilli and lemon, and whole grilled brill with capers and brown butter. As the evening continues, classic and signature cocktails will sit alongside a carefully selected wine list sourced from small local distributors, while Whiplash Brewery will pour on tap.

Thoughtfully-designed interiors

The interiors of Onóra have been carefully considered to complement the food and create a relaxed, social atmosphere that changes with the rhythm of the day. The design of Onóra and The July - Capel Street is a collaboration between The July’s in-house design team and award-winning interior design agency, Fettle.

References to Irish design icon Eileen Gray, alongside a curated collection of local artwork, help root the restaurant and wider hotel in Dublin’s creative community.

A new neighbourhood destination on Capel Street

For Melanie Nocher, General Manager of The July Dublin, Capel Street was the natural home for the new restaurant.

Onóra will sit at the heart of The July - Capel Street, The July’s first Dublin property. Opening in October 2026, the new aparthotel brings The July’s Amsterdam-born approach to hospitality to Dublin, with thoughtfully designed apartments, full in-room kitchens, flexible co-working spaces, wellness facilities and an on-site barber shop.

Together, The July and Onóra are designed to offer a different kind of Dublin stay: one that feels connected to the neighbourhood, with the city’s restaurants, bars, culture and creative community right outside the door.
