Victoria is one of the best-connected areas in central London, putting some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, theatres, parks, shops and family-friendly attractions within easy reach. See a West End show

Victoria is a great place to stay for theatre lovers, with some of London’s best-known theatres right on your doorstep. The Apollo Victoria Theatre and Victoria Palace Theatre are both steps from The July - Victoria, making it simple to fit a show into your London itinerary.The Apollo Victoria is famous for Wicked, while the Victoria Palace is home to Hamilton. A 30-minute walk away, the wider West End is easy to reach too, including Soho, Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

For a slower side of London, head to Eccleston Yards, just a short stroll from Victoria. This tucked-away courtyard brings together independent restaurants, cafés, shops and wellness spaces, making it a lovely place to spend a few hours away from the busy streets. Continue towards Pimlico, one of central London’s more peaceful neighbourhoods. Spend an afternoon browsing independent shops and galleries, stopping for coffee or simply wandering the elegant residential streets.

Walk to Buckingham Palace and Big Ben

One of the biggest advantages of staying in Victoria is being so close to some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Buckingham Palace is around a 10-minute walk from The July - Victoria. From Buckingham Palace, continue through St James’s Park towards Westminster. Here you’ll find Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, all within easy reach of one another.

Looking for more family days out? London Zoo offers a chance to see hundreds of species and makes a great addition to a longer London itinerary. Back in the West End, families can also choose from a range of famous musicals and shows.

Enjoy parks and green spaces

For a city as busy as London, Victoria has an impressive amount of green space nearby. St James’s Park is particularly beautiful, with landscaped gardens, open lawns and views towards Buckingham Palace. It’s an easy stop between sightseeing and a great place to let children run off some steam. Nearby Green Park offers another peaceful escape from the city, while Hyde Park is ideal for a longer afternoon outdoors. Over summer months, deckchairs are laid out to enjoy a book, picnic or coffee while watching London go by.
