Unlocked by The July

This autumn, The July opens the doors to something new. Three Creatives. Three Worlds. Endless stories.

Exclusive available in London

For the first time, we hand our keys to three of our remarkable friends.

Each has transformed a room into a living extension of their world spaces to cook, listen, dream, and feel. Unexpectedly. Personal. Deeply human. At The July, we re-imagine hospitality as a cultural canvas where every stay becomes a story, from one night to a year.

The key is waiting. The story is yours.

Enter our giveaway for a chance to stay in one of these special apartments. (And don’t worry, they’ll be available to book in London this winter. More on that soon.)

🌿 In Ellie’s Room

Chef and founder of Ellie’s table Ellie Bouhadana invites you into a space where food becomes memory and ritual. Her room is infused with the flavors and textures of her Mediterranean heritage: a curated hamper of locally sourced snacks, vintage cookware and ceramics, and her own words printed like a handwritten shopping list. At the heart of the stay is Ellie’s Table: recipes, cards, and objects that encourage you to cook, share, and savor. Every detail is designed to nourish body and spirit, turning a studio into a table for connection.

📚 In Gemma’s Room

Literary curator and founder of Send B00ks Gemma Janes transforms her studio into a living library, a place where stories are not just read, but felt. A selection of contemporary books sits alongside vintage postcards, notebooks, and hand-sourced lamps that set the mood for late-night reading. Cushions, throws, and ceramic bookends make every corner feel intimate and lived-in. In Gemma’s room, words become companions, and the quiet comfort of literature shapes the rhythm of your stay. It’s a sanctuary for pause, reflection, and discovery.

🎶 In Shivas’ Room

Designer and founder of Friendly Pressure Shivas Howard Brown reimagines the studio as an immersive soundscape. Known for his striking loudspeaker designs, Shivas fills the room with custom speakers, a vinyl record player, and a handpicked collection of records to set the tone. Olive and cocktail mixers invite after-hours rituals, while soft seat cushions ground the space in comfort and vibration. His room isn’t just to be seen: it’s to be heard and felt, blending music, design, and atmosphere into a stay that resonates long after you’ve left.
